Omerta is a text-based narrative web game where you play as mob boss Alberto Falcone, making decisions to determine the fate of your criminal empire.
This project was for an interactive narrative class at the Rochester Institute of Technology, and it gave me a chance to put together all that I learned through the semester for storytelling and apply design and development principles to bring it to life.
I decided to focus on writing a short dramatized mafia piece as I had been reading a book about the mafia at the time.
I was constrained to using Twine for implementation. Working with those constraints, I found ways to further bring the Twine experience to life.
The project started to come to life and helped me better understand writing for interactive media, making it an invaluable experience.
You can play the game here if you want to check it out.
